| TESTING RESULTS - Nissan SR20DE 2.0L Low Port |
This dyno chart shows the results from the installation of a ThermoBlok plenum and throttle body spacer only on a '96 Nissan 200SX SE-R with I/H/E. We have since installed the complete kit, but have not had the opportunity to get a final dyno run with the complete kit. The gains were still respectable considering only a partial kit was installed. We would expect significant additional gains with the installation of the lower manifold spacer since it would be responsible for the majority of the heat insulation from the cylinder head. The tests were done on the same car and same day, same gear, etc, immediately following the spacer installation. The vehicle was fully warmed up for both tests and no other modifications were done.
RESULTS: maximum gain 3.9 whp and 3.1 ft-lbs of torque.

This temp chart shows the temp reduction seen at the intake runners from the installation of a ThermoBlok kit on a '93 Nissan NX2000. The tests were done on the same car during a steady state 50-70 mph drive followed by idle.
RESULTS: Approximately 35°F cooler at cruise and 20°F after idle.
NOTE: Special thanks goes out to Rick Burke of Indianapolis for the use of his '96 200SX SE-R for the testing of the Nissan SR20DE Low Port ThermoBlok spacers. Thanks Rick!
