TESTING RESULTS - Honda J Series V-6

Dyno chart - Acura J32A2 3.2L V-6 This dyno chart shows the results from the installation of a ThermoBlok kit on an '02 Acura TL Type S with no other mods. The tests were done on the same vehicle and same day, same gear, etc, immediately following the spacer installation. The vehicle was fully warmed up for both tests and no other modifications were done. It is interesting to note that without exception we seem to see greater gains on V-6 engines. It is our hypothesis that this is due to the V-6's larger intake being mounted directly above the engine where it will normally absorb more engine heat than the side mounted intake of the L4 type engines.

RESULTS: maximum gain 8.6 whp and 9.2 ft-lbs of torque at the 4900 RPM point with an average gain of 5 across the power band.

Temp chart - Honda J35A1 3.5L V-6

This temp chart shows the temp reduction seen at the intake runner from the installation of a ThermoBlok kit on an '00 Honda Odyssey. The tests were done on the same vehicle during a steady state 50-70 mph drive followed by idle.

RESULTS: Approximately 11°F cooler at cruise and 32°F cooler at idle.

NOTE: Special thanks goes out to Tony Iskander of Indianapolis for the use of his '02 Acura TL Type S for the testing of this ThermoBlok kit. Thanks Tony!
